The Police Service, in partnership with other agencies and the citizens of St.Thomas, is instrumental in preserving the quality of life in our community through reactive and proactive initiatives that maintain a safe environment in which to live and prosper.

Operationally, our primary focus is on crime prevention, traffic safety, and crime detection, investigation and apprehension. Positive community relations, education and the use of current technology assist us in determining and meeting the needs of our growing community.

Construction Advisory Notice - 2013 Road Rehabilitation Program

The City's Contractor is anticipated to commence construction on the following projects: 2013 Road Rehabilitation Program - Hiawatha Street from Curtis Street to Scott Street and First Avenue from Brant Avenue to Locust Street on Friday, May 24, 2013 (weather permitting) with completion by Friday, May 31, 2013 and Monday, June 3, 2013.

The City's Consultant (Stantec) will be conducting underground investigations on the above section of Sunset Drive on Tuesday, May 28th starting at 9:30 a.m. for approximately a one hour period.
Public Information Centre Notification

The City of St. Thomas Environmental Services Department will be holding a Public Information Centre (PIC) for the development of two new parking lots on the north side of Centre Street on the former CASO Railway Lands with 21 and 34 spaces, respectively, and a new angled parking area with 10 spaces on the west side of Metcalfe Street, for the specified project limits.
