Welcome to the St. Thomas Timken Community Centre located at 2 Third Avenue, St. Thomas, Ontario, N5R 0A7 the newest ice facility in St. Thomas. This two-rink facility was officially opened to a sold-out crowd on Thursday, October 20, 2005. 

We are very proud of this addition to our City, as it truly is a community centre, attracting people of all ages every day, every season. The Timken Centre has lots of parking and is a modern, fully accessible, multi-use building.  

Looking for Ice Time?

If you are looking to rent ice for a weekly pick-up hockey game, ice time practices, a family skate, or a birthday party -- we might just have the ice for you!

Minor Sporting Org. /School $130.30

Prime Time/Adult/Junior B $176.20
Non-Prime $130.30
(8:30am-5pm, weekdays)

Family Skate $152.77 (no nets)

Walk in Rate $79.57 (same day rental, ice must be booked and used from Mon - Fri, between 8:30 am - 5 pm) 

Non-Prime Training $16.65/skater per hour (8.30am to 5pm, weekdays. July, August and Holidays excluded. 4 skater minimum. Can only book 48 hrs in advance) please note that the above prices do not include HST.

All of our rinks are very busy so book as early as possible.

The newly renovated Memorial Auditorium at Memorial Arena and the DJ Tarry Room at the St. Thomas Timken Community Centre is available for Wedding, Banquet Receptions and Stag and Doe's.  Please call the Parks and Recreation Office for rental rates (519) 633-7112.

FACILITIES

Doug Tarry Room
This multi-use facility is 54' x 84' in size and features a servery, bar, change rooms, event office, washrooms, basketball nets, and an upper viewing gallery.

Licenced capacity (dining and dance floor): 288
Unlicenced capacity (non-fixed seating):      405

OhiOntario Room
A meeting room located on the second floor of the STMH Rink that can accommodate approximately 25 people.  Glassed in on two sides for viewing opportunities for both rinks.St. Thomas Minor Hockey Rink

A full NHL size rink, (200' x 85'), with fixed seating for 2200 fans surrounding the rink and standing room for an additional 300.

Presstran-Formet Rink
A second NHL size rink with bleacher seating for approximately 100 people.

Reith Fitness Track
Located on the second level of the STMH Rink, this rubberized fitness track provides an all-weather option for your exercise routine.   

5 laps = 1 kilometre

8 laps = 1 mile

The track is open during the Fall-Winter season from 8am to 10pm and from 8am to 8pm during the Spring-Summer season except during special paid events such as tournaments and STARS games. 
The Walking Track Spring/Summer hours take effect April 1st each year.
*****Please check at the Parks and Recreation Office located at the Timken Arena Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm for a schedule of walking track closures as this schedule is updated on a regular basis.

There is no charge to use this facility.

We now offer a "Walk Across Canada" Program for all ages.  This program is free of charge and designed to increase physical activity and promote a healthy lifestyle.  Sign up at the Timken recreation office.  M - F 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.  We will record your steps as you walk across Canada!

The balance of construction work on Talbot Street, after the road closure for the placement of the first lift of base course asphalt on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, involves the installation of curb/gutter, sidewalk, paving stones, second lift of base course asphalt, surface course pavement layer, and other miscellaneous surface works.
