GETTING STARTED IN EMPLOYMENT ACTIVITY
The purpose of the employment interview is to identify each participantís present and future employment goals, list and document all employment skills previously attained, map out any additional skills required to achieve present and future goals, and finally, sign a mutually agreed upon employment pathway called a Participation Agreement.
The initial Participation Agreement is the first step on the pathway to employment. Subsequent employment interviews and Participation Agreement updates are checks to ensure participants are advancing along the proper employment pathway. Local labour market forecasting, in conjunction with the individualís updated employment skills are reviewed at each Participation Agreement update in order to achieve a realistic future goal.
