If your group or organization is having a "Special Event" that will take place on City roadways or City parks and property, we suggest you click onto the City of St. Thomas Special Events Policy & Procedures Manual, which has been designed to help Special Event organizers to effectively use the City of St. Thomas resources to plan and conduct a successful event.

Submitting Your Application

After reviewing the Manual, please complete the Special Events Application Form and submit it at least three months in advance to the City by mail, fax, or in person to:

After submission, your application will be reviewed by City Staff and your organizers will be required to attend a Special Events meeting.

These meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month in Committee Room 204 on the second floor of City Hall, Talbot Street.  To answer your questions and to discuss your plans, representatives will be in attendance from Police Services, Fire Services, Health Unit, Parks and Recreation, Property Maintenance, Treasury Department (Corporate Services), Public Works (Traffic and Parking), EMS, the Clerk's Office, the Downtown Development Board, and the Tourism Office.

If your group is required to attend a Special Events meeting, the committee Secretary will contact you with the time and date of the meeting you should attend.
