Notice to the Residents of the City of St. Thomas and surrounding communities
Lifting of Heat Alert - July 26, 2010
The Acting Medical Officer of Health has lifted the heat alert issued July 23, 2010. Although weather temperatures and conditions are becoming generally more favourable, cooling options still exist for residents as required:
Community Centres:
St. Thomas Timken Community Centre will be available during regular operating hours. The Centre is located at 2 Third Avenue in St. Thomas.
Swimming Pools, Wading Pools and Splash Pads:
Pinafore Park Splash Pad: Open daily 10 am to 8 pm (entrance off Elm Street , near Wilson)
Waterworks Park Wading Pool: Open daily 11 am to 7 pm (at west end of South Edgeware Road)
Jaycees Pool (Public Swim): Weekdays: 1:30pm to 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. 93 Inkerman Street Weekends: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
