Where is the Transfer (Central Transfer Point) Located?
The St. Thomas Transit Services Central Transfer Point is located at Wal-mart.

Where can I catch the bus in my area?
Bus Stops and shelters are located along each bus route.

How can I get arrival information by Telephone or Internet?
You can now obtain real-time arrival/departure information by telephone or internet.
   
 By Telephone - Simply use your telephone and call 226-212-0320 and enter the associated code for the stop.  The phone number and stop code are displayed next to the arival prediction times on the webpages.  The arival predictions for the stop will then be given to you over the phone.

    By Internet - Simply navigate to the website (www.nextbus.com), click on the logo that says 'Select Your Transit System and scroll down to the City of St. Thomas under the Ontario heading.  Choose the route and stop number.  The next three arrival times wil be shown.
 

What are the Hours of Operation?
Monday to Friday: 7:15 am to 6:45 pm.
Saturdays:              9:15 am - 6:45 pm.
No Sunday or Holiday service

Passenger Fare Classifications

• Adult (19 - 64 years)
• School Student (5 - 18 years)
• Child (5 - 18 years)
• Senior (65+ years)

Children under 5 (with parent or guardian) and attendants ride free.

Student is a passenger who presents a valid student’s card to the bus driver. Any student who fails to present a valid student’s card shall be required to pay a full adult fare. 

What if I need to transfer?
Transfers to St. Thomas Transit buses are free.  Transfers are issued only upon request at the time a fare is paid. They can only be used to complete a one-way trip.

The transfer is not valid on previously traveled routes. Expired transfers are not accepted. St. Thomas Transit is not responsible for lost, stolen or mutilated transfers. 

What is Priority and Courtesy Seating?
The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) requires businesses and organizations to provide accessible services to people with disabilities.  The goal is for Ontario to be fully accessible by 2025.

The Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR, 191-11), is a standard developed under the AODA which includes 80 accessibility standards relating to transportation, employment, and information and
communications. Compliance dates set out in the IASR range from July 2011 through January 2021.

In compliance with Section 49 of Regulation 191-11,
Ontario’s public transit authorities now provide Priority seating designated for use by passengers with disabilities.

Transit authorities recognize there are other customer who would also benefit from having a seat near the front of the bus. A Courtesy seating area has been designated for seniors, expectant mothers, adults traveling with infants/small children or any other customer who may benefit from a seat near the front of the bus.

Can my service animal or other pet ride along with me?
Service animals are welcome. Pets are not allowed on St. Thomas Transit Services. 

Can I my child ride the bus in a stroller?
No, to ensure safety to all passengers, children must be removed from strollers and the stroller must be collapsed to fit between seats. Non collapsible strollers are prohibited. For safety reasons, children capable of sitting on their own must sit on a seat and not on an adults lap.

Wagons/tricycles/bicycles are prohibited

Can I smoke on the bus?
No, smoking is prohibited on the buses or in the bus shelters.

The City of St. Thomas Environmental Services Department will be holding a Public Information Centre (PIC) for the development of two new parking lots on the north side of Centre Street on the former CASO Railway Lands with 21 and 34 spaces, respectively, and a new angled parking area with 10 spaces on the west side of Metcalfe Street, for the specified project limits.

The balance of construction work on Talbot Street, after the road closure for the placement of the first lift of base course asphalt on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, involves the installation of curb/gutter, sidewalk, paving stones, second lift of base course asphalt, surface course pavement layer, and other miscellaneous surface works.
