TAXI LICENCES
In order to apply for your cab licence you must have a licence authorization letter from the cab company that is hiring. Once you have your letter, please bring it to Environmental Services at City Hall where you will be required to complete the City's application form and have your driver's licence photocopied for our records. You will be given a letter to take to your local Police Services requesting that they run a criminal record check. A Provincial guideline states that all cab drivers must successfully complete a criminal police check. When your police check is completed, the Environmental Services Department at City Hall can then complete your application and issue your licence. Please note: A criminal records check is required each year. Criminal Police checks must be taken to the Police Services where you reside. Cost for Police Checks vary. The cost for your licence is currently $15.00. |
