The Centre presents a historical and contemporary visual art program by local, regional, national and international artists, facilitating the development of emerging artists by providing diverse art educational programming, acquiring culturally significant works of art and caring for the permanent collection. The Art Centre pay artists in accordance with CARFAC guidelines as recommended through The Art Centre has experienced an exceptional year of growth in 2009 with all sectors reporting significant development. Through the expansion of school and fine art programming, enhanced exhibitions and the commitment to the growth of the Art Centre's permanent collection, the Art Centre has positioned itself to adapt, respond, and develop in collaboration with the communities that it serves.
