You are also welcome to visit our administrative office. We're located just inside the front entrance of the St. Thomas Timken Community Centre at 2 Third Avenue. Office Hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
WHATS HAPPENING
Camp Registration Begins May 1st! Register at 2 Third Ave or call 519-633-7112.
We will also be hosting two Saturdays for camp registration June 8 and June 22 from 12pm - 4 pm
9 Weeks of Summer camp to choose from, You choose the week that best suits you!
Ages: 4 12 Years of Age
Time: 8:30 am 4:00 pm
Extended Care: 7:30 8:30 am & 4:00 pm 5:00pm this option is $2.50 per extended care.
Cost: $125 per week (on short weeks where there is a stat holiday it is $100)
Multi Sports Themed Camp:
When: July 8th July 12th, July 22nd July 26th, August 6th August 9th, Aug 19th August 23rd
Location: Timken Centre, Pinafore Park, and Jaycees Pool!
Come make friends and play a different sport everyday!
Sports include:
- Ice skating (CSA approved helmet required)
- Baseball at NYC Ball Park
- Basketball
- Ball Hockey (helmet with face mask required)
- Soccer
- Badminton
- Flag Football
- Kickball
- Volleyball and an exciting half day spent at Jaycees Pool Swimming!
- Daily water games and activities.

Adventure Nature Camp:
When: July 2nd July 5th, July15th July 19th, July 29th August 2nd, August 12th August 16th, August 26th August 30th
Location: Pinafore Park, Waterworks Park, and possibly a one day field trip to Springwater
Come learn and explore our parks, trails, ponds all while making friends!
Activities include:
- Fishing
- Nature Hikes on trails to Ponds explore and learn about bugs, birds, trees, flowers, and local wildlife
- Scavenger Hunt
- Guided exploration tour with Park Staff
- Crafts, painting, nature art
- Daily splashpad time and water games
- And so much more....
We have introduced two Specialty camps this summer:
Dance and Cheerleading Camp:
When: July 29th August 2nd
Location: Pinafore Park - Bandshell
Learn and practice new styles of Dance with your friends.
Dance styles and activities include:
- Ballet
- Jazz
- Hip Hop
- Contemporary
- Cheerleading
- Bollywood
- Arts and crafts
- Daily splashpad time and water activities
- Dance Themed Scavenger Hunt
- The week will conclude with a special dance recital for family and friends, to show off their new skills!
Tennis Camp:
When: August 12th 18th
Location: Pinafore Park Tennis courts and surrounding area
Learn and playing tennis with your camp friends.
Activities include:
- Morning and Afternoon sessions of tennis
- Trying other racquet games or spinoffs of tennis
- Arts and Crafts
- Daily splashpad time and water activities
- Nature activities
- Tennis themed scavenger hunt

PD Day Camp, Friday June 7, 2013
Hosting fun filled days with Ice Skating, Art Attack, Floor Hockey and much more!
8:30 am 4:00 pm (Extended care available at small extra cost)
$30 for the entire day and includes a free pizza lunch!
Located: Timken Community Centre
Max 40 Children So sign up quick!

Program Registrations
Registration for fall/winter will begin in September for 2013! Join us for Ballet, Jazz, Intro to Tumbling, Hip Hop, Learn to Skate, Kids in the Kitchen, Art Attack, Floor Hockey, Basketball, Indoor Soccer and Badminton. These classes will begin in October 2013 and run for 8 weeks in length.
Program Updates and Cancellations
Unfortunately, some programs may be cancelled if there is low enrollment, availability of facility or availability of instructors. Full refunds will be issued for any programs that may be cancelled by the Parks and Recreation Department.
