OVERNIGHT PARKING ON CITY STREETS

 
Overnight parking on City Streets is prohibited during the winter months, from November 15th, to March 15th,  between the hours of 3:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.

The City of St. Thomas has available Overnight Parking Permits. The permit is available to residents whose property meets the eligibility criteria as set out in the Traffic and Parking By-Law 45-89. The cost of the permit is $56.50 for the season.

In summary the By-Law states:

If the property has two or more parking spaces (including garage(s)), a permit will not be issued, and, If the property has the potential for two parking spaces, a permit may be issued for one year only on the condition that the property owner will develop the second parking space while also complying with the City Zoning By-law and Polices.

Requests for Overnight Parking Permits should be directed to the Environmental Services Department. We are availalbe Monday to Friday, from 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. at 519-631-1680 ext., 4260.
